1. What do you mean by
"size" or "grade" of crushed stone? 2. What are the various grades? Some of the most popular grades are #26 (a blend of sizes from 1" to 1/200") used on driveways, #57 (1" to ¼") used in concrete, #78 (1/2" to ¼") used in asphalt and on driveways and 21A (1" to 1/200" centrally mixed) for roadway and parking lot bases. 3. What grade do I need on my driveway? If your driveway is rutted or potholed, try #26 or #21A to pack into and stabilize the problem areas. If the driveway is smooth and solid, then #68 or #78 will provide a great top-dressing. 4. What should I use for a muddy soft spot on my farm lane? #2 (3") stone or #3 (2") stone will stabilize a wet, muddy area. 5. How much do I need? Mundy stone is sold by the ton. Use the handy stone calculator to figure out how much you need. If you do not have a Java enabled browser click here. 6. How do I get the stone from the quarry to my home or site? Mundy Quarries will load your truck, be it a pickup or a tractor-trailer. Mundy operates a fleet of dump trucks ready to bring stone to you. Mundy dispatchers can help you arrange pick up or delivery. |
